“The curriculum has been developed to give direction to Basic Education towards the realisation of Namibia Vision 2030. It ensures continuity of the foundation principles of the Namibian education system described in Toward Education for All: A Development Brief, in 1993. The goal, aims, competencies, core skills and key learning areas have been identified in relation to Namibia Vision 2030 as a curriculum for the future.” Ministry of Education, Republic of Namibia

Public schools are free in Namibia, but families are required to pay for student uniforms, paper, writing instruments and books. They are even expected to contribute to school improvements. Children are supposed to attend school between the ages of six and sixteen. Primary school starts at six and covers grades one through seven. Secondary school is five years, grades eight through twelve. After grade ten, students receive the Junior Secondary School Certificate. After twelfth grade, students receive the Namibia Senior Secondary Education Certificate after taking a final exam that is moderated by Cambridge. Better grades on the exam result in the student’s ability to attend higher education.

Helping Raise Enrolment Rates

Despite the fact that children are supposed to attend school between the ages of six and sixteen, enrolment rates tend to suffer. This is due to any number of reasons, but one of the biggest is poor education quality, even though the government allocates a decent portion of its budget towards education. We can offer our assistance to both teachers and students. Our online education program provides teachers with a curriculum and coursework to teach their students that meet the necessary standards set by the government. Students can use our eLearning math classes and English to further study their coursework outside their lectures, allowing them every opportunity to do their best.

Students deserve every chance to get a quality education. Thirty days of free online classes will prove that with us, getting that quality education is possible.

"Why I love FutureSchool!"

"Before we started on the program, there were many times in the class that I didn’t know the answer. I never wanted to be picked by the teacher to answer a question either because I was simply afraid of being embarrassed in front of the other kids, so I would always be looking down when the teacher asked a question. Now it is different! I want to be picked because I do know the answer. I don’t show off or anything, but when the teacher does ask a question I now put my hand up and I can now look her straight in the eye and it makes me feel great! I am 15 years of age and it gives me fantastic confidence to want to do better all the time. Thank you FutureSchool and I would appreciate you doing something in Science, too."
