Good question. You subtracted 3 from the left side only. Do the same to both sides: 2x = 8. Then divide both sides by 2, so x = 4. Try question 6 again and send it back if it still looks odd.

How the contact stays safe.

- How does my child ask?
- From inside any lesson, or from the Ask a Teacher page, they type the question. They can attach the question they are stuck on. Parents can ask from the parent account too.
- How quickly does someone answer?
- Teachers are on six days a week. Most questions get a reply the same day. The reply lands in your child’s account and in your email.
- What does the reply look like?
- A written explanation with the working shown step by step, in the same style as the video lesson. Not a one-line answer.
- Do teachers know our curriculum?
- Yes. The programme is aligned to more than 200 curricula, including US Common Core and state standards, and teachers see which lesson the question came from.
- What if my child is stuck again and again?
- The teacher will point them back to the lesson that covers the gap, and the study plan adds it. If a pattern shows up, the support team can step in and contact you.
- Is this one-to-one tutoring?
- No. There are no scheduled sessions and no video calls. Your child learns independently and gets a qualified teacher when the software is not enough. That is why a month costs less than an hour of live tutoring.
