Alternative teaching methodologies

The teacher determines which of the following methodologies will best serve their students and their class:

The classroom teacher presenting their current lesson
The teacher continues normal classroom activity and lesson plans and uses the Future School resource by introducing it to their students at the end of the lesson.
  • The students have the same lesson of the day assigned to the class and are advised that they can access the revision resource at school or at home to review the daily lesson.
  • The students are advised that they can try the examination, and if they have any difficulty, they simply watch the video presentation to have a step-by-step tutorial on what was taught in the classroom that day.
  • Any question sets that are attempted by the students are pre-marked and dynamically updated for the teacher to monitor and review the student's outcomes.
  • Reporting is by individual student, group or class and is available as an overview or detailed report, either on display or in printed format.
Electronic whiteboard or PC driven projector
The teacher is able to present a future school lesson by electronic whiteboard or a projector through PC or laptop
  • The teacher is able to select a lesson in-line with the classroom teaching and can present a pre-defined video tutorial that gives step-by-step instruction on the fundamentals associated with the lesson materials
  • The teacher can then select Pre-Test Assessment and using the presentation resources, simply ask the students to write their answers to each of the questions in the question-set, in their classroom work books.
  • At the end of the question-set:
    • the teacher has the class exchange their work books;
    • the students are then presented with the correct answers by the teacher, using the electronic whiteboard or projector to display the answer-set;
  • The students are advised that the lesson has been assigned for homework and that they can:
    • complete the lesson examination for homework and review all examination attempts of the question-sets for that lesson are dynamically updated for the teacher to review each student's outcomes and progress;
    • if they have any difficulty, simply watch the video presentation to have a step-by-step tutorial on what was taught in the classroom that day;
    • all examination attempts of the question-sets for that lesson are dynamically updated for the teacher to review each student's outcomes and progress.
Computer lab environment
The teacher is able to use the Future School resource in a computer lab environment
  • Each student has access the teacher assigned lesson for the day and can be directed to watch the video presentation
  • The students are then and asked to complete the lesson Pre-Test Assessment, with the understanding that they should re-watch the video tutorial if they have any difficulty with the question set.
  • The teacher can assign the examination for in-class activity, or alternatively set the examination as homework where the students can complete the task as homework from their home computers.
Assign Future School resources for homework, revision or preparing for a test
The teacher is able to assign any lesson for homework or revision with a simple class assignment allocation tool. Teachers have the control and the ability to use the system as a resource that best suits their own classroom environment.
  • Where the teacher identifies special need requirements they can create specific student groups to address either remedial or accelerated learning with individualised teaching support;
  • Teacher and student confidence in the materials is paramount in determining positive outcomes, and the interactive capability of the lessons confirm immediately that they provide the monitoring and administration to effectively increase teacher/student interface by automating the tedious teacher tasks and dynamically updating students records with results and lesson outcomes; and
  • Teachers have instant access to student's results and can monitor pre-marked homework at the press of a button. Easy to access - easy to use - and as easy as 1 - 2 - 3 for both teacher and student.
